Is this a family oriented tour?
Most definitely! Our Duck tours are fun for everyone. You'll learn
Nashville's history as well as see our beautiful downtown. You
never know what jokes our Ducktors will have you laughing to either.
2. Do I need to make
reservations?
Reservations are strongly recommened though we can sometimes accommodate
walk up guests.
3. Can you make reservations
over the telephone?
We take advance telephone reservations for groups of 10 or more,
based upon availability. Please call us as early as possible to
arrange your tour.
If you have fewer than 10 people you can purchase
your tickets at our ticket kiosk located at 110 2nd Ave North, Nashville,
TN 37203 inside the Charlie Daniels Museum or click
here to reserve online.
All tickets are sold based on availability for
specific departure dates and times and are non-refundable and
may not be exchanged. Tickets will sell out fast especially during
the summer so we suggest you purchase your tickets as early in
the day as possible. Tours depart rain or shine.
4. What is that thing I'll be riding
in?
It is a DUKW World War ll amphibious vehicle. It was used in WW
ll for transporting goods and soldiers over land and water. D
stands for 1942, U stands for utility, K stands for front wheel
drive and the W stands for two rear driving axles.
5. How long does
the tour last?
Approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
6. Can you get on and
off the Duck?
No, the tour lasts just over an hour.
An hour without any stops.
7. Do you offer refunds?
All tickets are sold based on availability for specific departure
dates and times are non-refundable and may not be exchanged. If
a tour is cancelled for some reason by management and then management
only refunds will be issued. Again this is subject to management's
discretion.
8. Where do we pick
up our tickets if purchased on the website?
Please take your identification and the means of your payment
to our ticket kiosk located at 110 2nd Ave North inside Charlie Daniels Museum. Your tickets and departure location will be provided to
you there.
9. Does your tour go
into the water?
Yes, we are certified by the US Coast Guard and our Tourducktors are licensed Boat Captains. We splash into the Cumberland River.
10. Is it appropriate to give your Tour
Ducktor a gratuity?
Gratuities are done at the discretion of the guest and certainly
appreciated for a job well done.
11. Can you request
a particular Tour Ducktor?
Unfortunately, no due to scheduling difficulties.
12. How do you get
to sit in the back outside seats?
Seating is first come - first serve so you might want to arrive
at least 30 minutes prior to departure to get in line for your
desired seats. However, please see question below regarding wheelchairs.
13. Are the ducks wheelchair
accessible?
Unfortunately they are not, however we can take the people and
assist climbing aboard and departing but the wheelchairs will
have to remain behind. Special needs individuals will board first
along with one guest in their party. Other people that may be
in the party will have to board based on where they are in the
line and take the available seating. Please notify our ticket
kiosk when purchasing your tickets if someone in your party has
special needs or if purchasing by internet please call our ticket
kiosk at 615-477-5255 for advanced notification.
14. Can we bring liquor
on board?
No. Insurance regulations prohibit us from allowing alcohol on
board the Duck. Music City Duck Tours reserves the right to refuse
boarding of or terminate the tour for any guest that appears to
be intoxicated.
15. Can we bring food
and drink on board?
Yes, you are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages
on board.
16. Do I need to purchase
a seat for my baby?
Yes, every person is required to have a seat and a ticket to board.
Children 6-12 are $15.50 and children 5 and under are $7.50.
Under 2 can ride in adult's lap for free
17. Are pets allowed
in the Duck?
Only service animals are permitted on the tour.
18. Are there
restrooms on board?
No, you may want to find facilities prior to boarding the Duck.
19. Should I bring
my camera?
Absolutely, You'll see a variety of things you'll want reminders
from during your trip.
